For My Son (Taylor)
Bows and arrows, balls, and guns,
your all boy looking for fun.
never a dull moment when you're around,
those feet take off running, when they hit the ground.
Trying everything under the sun,
wanting to be friends with everyone.
A big smile, with a twinkle in your eye,
makes me remember days gone by.
To my dismay, you've grown so fast,
I feel lonely for the past.
Always in my heart that little boy will be,
doing things he shouldn't, then smiling at me.
Too soon you'll grow, and i'll do anything I can,
to help you know how to become a man.
